Voter Registration

Vail residents are encouraged to vote in every municipal election. 

To register to vote or verify your voter registration, or update your registration with a new address, go to the following website links:

To qualify to vote, you must:

  • Be a citizen of the United States and;
  • Be 18 years old by Election Day and;
  • Be a resident of Colorado at least 22 days prior to an election and;
  • Consider Eagle County your sole legal place of residence for voting purposes, motor vehicle registration, and income tax purposes and;
  • Not claim the right to vote in any other state

Voter registration change guidelines:

  • Please make changes by Oct. 30.
  • Eligibility requirements are included at these website addresses
  • You must live in the State of Colorado at least 22 days prior to registering to vote
  • You have until Election Day, Nov. 5 to move into the town to vote in Vail; however, if you are not registered by Oct. 30, you will be required to register at one of the Eagle County Clerk’s voter service and polling center locations
  • Note: you will not be able to register at the Town of Vail office
  • If you have moved, you must update your voter registration with your new residence address
  • Voters will also be able to register in person at the Eagle County Clerk & Recorder’s voter service and polling center locations up to the day of election
