Beginning at noon Wednesday, May 22
Working with public opinion consultants from Magellan Strategies and Summit Information Services, Vail Town Council has approved survey questions that will be used to gather Vail resident’s opinions on how to address Vail’s resident housing shortage. Sponsored by the Vail Local Housing Authority, with the unanimous support of the Vail Town Council, residents in the Vail community are encouraged to participate in the survey online from Wednesday, May 22 through Friday, May 31, or by a telephone from June 3 to June 6.
Respondents will be asked to voice their general opinions regarding the housing challenges in Vail, identify how familiar they are with the Housing Authority’s work and to indicate their level of support and opposition for a potential property tax increase or sales tax increase to help cover future housing needs in the community. The Vail resident community is encouraged to take part in this survey and make their opinion heard. Results will be reported back out to the community and Vail Town Council during their council meeting on Tuesday, June 18.
