Invitation to Bid - Exit 180 Landscape Improvements

The construction work includes landscape walls, wetland plantings and irrigation/landscape installation. Work is to be performed at the I-70 East Vail Exit (Exit 180). All work excluding tree and shrub plantings and above ground irrigation is to be completed by October 31, 2018. Plantings and remaining irrigation to be completed in May-June 2019.

RFP - Slifer Fountain Repair Project

The Town of Vail, Colorado is seeking proposals for professional services from qualified design/build contractors to complete repairs to the Slifer Fountain located at 371 Gore Creek Drive. Slifer Fountain was originally constructed in the 1970’s and has been resurfaced at least once in the past 20 years.

Invitation to Bid - Overhead/Underground Electrical Conversion

Installation of approximately 2,300 LF of electrical distribution line conduits, splice vaults and above ground pad mounted transformers along Bighorn Rd with a bid alternate for an additional 2,200 LF along the S Frontage Road in the Intermountain neighborhood. Work is scheduled to be completed between July 16, 2018 and September 28, 2018.

Replacement of 47 street lights with new Town of Vail standard street lights and installation of 58 new 12’  street name poles at intersections throughout the Town of Vail as directed by  the Town of Vail.  All electrical work shall be done by a licensed electrician in the state of Colorado. 

RFP- Vail Playground Painting Projects

The Town of Vail is seeking a qualified painting contractor to perform painting, staining and refinishing work on two of Vail’s custom play areas – Red Sandstone Park and Sunbird Park. In general, the work will include preparing wood and steel surfaces and applying the specified paint, stain and finish. This RFP is for two separate projects and contractors may bid on one or both projects. The Town may award the work as two separate projects or as one large project depending on proposed schedule, contractor availability and proposed cost for the work.

Local Housing Authority Vacancy

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that one vacancy exists on the Town of Vail Local Housing Authority.  Letters of interest, which include resume and background, are currently being accepted for this position.  This appointment will expire May 31, 2023 after having served a five year appointment.  The Vail Local Housing Authority has its regular meeting on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 3:00 p.m. and special meetings as needed.

RFP - Water Quality Vault Maintenance

The Town of Vail Public Works Department is seeking proposals from contractors for general maintenance, cleaning, of storm water quality vaults and drainage inlets.  Respondents are asked to submit a proposal containing their qualifications, staff and equipment availability and hourly rates for labor and equipment.  All materials removed from vaults can be disposed of at the Town of Vail Public Works Department’s snow dump at a location approved by the engineer.  Proposals will be reviewed and used to establish a qualified vendors list.

Invitation to Bid - Vail Transit Stop Improvements Project

The Vail Transit Stop Improvement Project includes the construction of two new transit stops located in front of the Lionshead Parking Structure and the Vail Village Parking Structure. The work includes the construction of new concrete pavement, curb and gutter, concrete sidewalk, lighting, landscape, and a new Lionshead bus shelter and new set of concrete stairs at the Lionshead parking structure.

RFP for Pirateship Park Safety Improvements Project

The Town of Vail is seeking a qualified contractor to perform safety improvements on the Pirateship Park children’s play structure. In general, the work will include removal and replacement of an existing stairway, replacement of the existing wooden deck with pultruded fiberglass panels, raising the height of the steel railings/handrails and other associated work. The work will require multiple trades including carpentry, welding and painting.
