Town of Vail is seeking proposals from waste haulers to develop and implement an innovative residential curbside compost pilot program in Vail, Colorado.
Brief Description of Work
The Vail South Frontage Road Widening & Roundabout Project consists of approximately 1400 linear feet of road widening (2 lanes to 4 lanes), including; curb & gutter, sidewalk, medians, and a 150’ diameter roundabout. Includes utility relocation, installation of storm sewer, landscaping and approximately 7000 SF/Face of retaining walls. The project is scheduled to start mid-April and be complete by end of October 2021.
INVITATION TO BID Sealed bids will be received by Vail Fire and Emergency Services (VFES) for the furnishing of necessary labor, equipment, and material for a Custom Side Mount Rescue Pumper fire apparatus and other equipment as outlined in the following specifications.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WORK In general, the work will consist of hot applied crack sealant on 32 miles of existing asphalt streets, curb & gutter, recreation paths and parking lots in the Town of Vail. The areas of work shall be all Town of Vail public streets as spelled out by the five districts and street names, recreation path name and park/trailhead parking lot.

Visitors come to enjoy world-class skiing, hiking, biking and other recreational pursuits that can be found in Vail’s abundant natural surroundings. The habitats found near Vail may differ in many ways from those our guests are familiar with at home and the Town of Vail is seeking ways to help visitors and locals better connect with the natural environment. Gore Creek, a mid-sized alpine waterway, meanders through the heart of Vail, supporting adjacent willow carrs, beaver ponds and spruce/fir lined banks as well as serving as the backdrop for public parks, backyards and an 18-hole golf course. A successful applicant will be able to design and create unique physical, educational elements that suit the Vail community.
The project generally consists of the reconstruction and expansion of an existing boulder wall, replacement of an existing 2-rail split rail fence with a 3-rail spilt rail fence with wire mesh, soil preparation, planting trees and shrubs, sodding and irrigation.
The proposed addition will be approximately 610 square feet and will consist of expanding the existing kitchen, expanding the existing storage room and the addition of an office / bride’s room. The project will entail replacement of the existing air handler, relocating and or replacing the existing snowmelt boiler and condensing unit. The work will be done in accordance with the plans by TAB and Associates dated 9-11-2020.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - TOWN OF VAIL CHILDCARE MODULARS
The Town of Vail, Colorado, is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide contract services for the production of approximately 4450 to 5000 square feet of modular buildings for the purpose of a childcare facility in Vail, Colorado. A responding qualified vendor shall have expertise in all phases of the work associated with the design coordination, shop drawing production, manufacturing, construction, transportation, setting, installing, and stitching together of modular buildings to be used for childcare purposes.
A Brief Description of the Work
The contractor will be responsible for all electrical system upgrades required for the installation of electric bus chargers at the Town of Vail Public Works Facility at 1309 Elkhorn Drive in Vail, CO. These upgrades will include a new 2.5MW utility transformer and new service connection from Holy Cross. New service will include the installation of a 3000A outdoor CT meter and service rated automatic transfer switchgear. Additional outdoor gear to be installed by contractor includes 900kW Genset and Tap Box.
The Town of Vail is requesting proposals from surveying/engineering firms for professional land surveying services for the Town’s future East Vail drainage improvements projects. The areas to be surveyed are all Town roads east of Columbine Drive and south of Bighorn Road. The topographic survey data obtained will be utilized by the Town to prepare design plans for future drainage improvement projects.

The Town of Vail is seeking to identify qualified individual(s) or firm(s) to provide full-service graphic design services as a preferred contractor with services rendered on a project-by-project basis.
