PrimaVail Hosts All-Employee Season Kick-off Party Nov. 20 at Donovan Pavilion
PrimaVail, the guest service collaborative supported by the Town of Vail, Vail Mountain and the Vail Chamber & Business Association, is hosting a kick-off party to celebrate the start of the new ski season and is inviting employees from across the community to join in the festivities. The gathering takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Donovan Pavilion. Admission is free and anyone who works in Vail is invited to stop by.

Paid Parking, Increased Bus Service Begin Friday, Nov. 15 in Vail

Paid parking in Vail’s public parking structures and outlying lots will begin at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 15 to coincide with the opening of Vail Mountain. Parking passes will be available for purchase from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Monday through Friday throughout the season, with the exception of Thanksgiving and other holidays, on the lower level of the Vail Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road. Bring proof of eligibility as restrictions apply.

Season parking passes are available for purchase on the lower level of the Municipal Building, 75 S. Frontage Road. Paid parking in the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures begins Friday, Nov. 15.

Free Overnight Parking Returns to Vail Village, Lionshead Structures Sunday, Oct. 6
Free overnight parking will be available in the Vail Village and Lionshead structures beginning at 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 and extending to the start of the ski season which is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15. The $25 overnight fee has been in place since Memorial Day weekend and was implemented for a second season this summer to discourage overnight vehicle storage.

Free Public Parking Begins April 22
Free public parking returns to the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures beginning at 6 a.m. Monday, April 22. This includes free overnight parking until May 24 when a $25 fee will be implemented for the second season to discourage vehicle storage.

Parking Reminder for Vail Parking Pass Holders

Parking Reminder for Vail Parking Pass Holders
An end of season reminder is being issued by the Town of Vail to all parking pass holders. Following the last day of paid winter parking on Sunday, April 21, most parking pass types will be enabled for use during the 2019 summer season, which will run Memorial Day weekend through Oct. 7. This includes Red, Green, Blue, Silver and Gold passes as well as the Value card. 

Parking Lot at Ford Park to Close to Accommodate Spring Back to Vail Concerts

Beginning at 12:01 a.m. Thursday, April 11 through 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14, the Ford Park parking lot will be closed to accommodate the Spring Back to Vail concerts. Parking options for all Pink parking pass holders will include use of the soccer field during the closure, plus free outlying parking in West Vail and on selected days at Donovan Park. Beginning at 12 a.m. Thursday, March 21 through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, March 24, the Ford Park parking lot will be closed to accommodate the Powabunga Fest concerts. Parking options for all Pink parking pass holders will include use of the soccer field during the closure, plus free outlying parking at Donovan Park or in West Vail.

The Vail Town Council will review recommendations for the 2019 summer parking program during its evening meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 19. The action item is listed as 7.1 on the meeting agenda which begins at 6 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers with opportunities for public comment.

Upcoming Parking Restrictions will Impact Pass-Holder Access to Soccer Field & Parking Structures
Pass-holder access to discount parking in the soccer field lot and the parking structures in Vail Village and Lionshead will soon be restricted for Pink, Green, Blue and Value card holders. These restrictions will last anywhere from three-weeks at the soccer field to one day in the parking structures. Parking pass holders are asked to plan ahead to avoid inconveniences.
