Parking Lot at Ford Park to Close to Accommodate Vail Snow Days Concerts

Beginning at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11 through 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16, the Ford Park parking lot will be closed to accommodate the Vail Snow Days concerts. Parking options for Pink parking pass holders include the soccer field, plus free spaces along the Frontage Road in West Vail as well as Donovan Park except for Dec. 14.

The Vail Snow Days concert line up at Ford Park includes Modest Mouse on Friday, Dec. 13 with opening act The Rad Trads. On Saturday, Dec. 14, The Head & The Heart takes the stage for the headliner concert with opening act Rob Drabkin. All shows at Ford Park are free with optional Private Reserve VIP tickets available for purchase. The concert venue opens at 5:30 p.m. for the performances which begin at 6:00 p.m. Visit vail.com/snowdays for details and optional Private Reserve VIP ticket information.

Express Town of Vail bus service will be provided free of charge from both the top level of the Lionshead parking structure and the Vail Village Transportation Center to and from Ford Park before and after the concerts. No vehicle drop-off or pick-up locations will be available at Ford Park. Concert goers utilizing ride-share providers, taxis, limos and hotel shuttles are asked to use the Vail Transportation Center for all drop offs and pick ups. Handicap parking will be available on South Frontage Road near the Ford Park parking lot and a state-issued handicap parking tag will be required for access.

Motorists traveling to and from East Vail via the South Frontage Road should allow additional transit time as a detour will be in place between Vail Valley Drive and the Pulis Bridge/Golf Course area during those times. Traffic control will be provided before, during and after the concert. Motorists are asked to exercise caution while driving in this area.

Overflow parking will be allowed in designated areas on the north side of South Frontage Road if both the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures fill to capacity. Motorists are asked to refer to variable message signs for current parking information.
